Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

Needham Lake and Nature Reserve

Needham Lake is a large flooded gravel pit created during the construction of the A14 (A45) and is situated on the outskirts of Needham Market. A tarmac pathway that goes around the lake and through a local nature reserve enables all visitors to enjoy the wildlife and peaceful nature of the site. There are large picnic areas either side of the river Gipping, which flows through the site, and play equipment for children. The lake can be used for non-motor water sports such as a canoeing and model boating, by prior arrangement. Permits are needed for fishing and water sports
