I've had some mixed experiences at the Golden Lion. Went there on a Monday night for a friend's birthday and one of the bar staff was unfriendly, rude, and we could hear him mocking us to his friends also behind the bar. Perhaps it was us, who knows. Having come back two weeks later and served by someone else, they were polite and very friendly, and i felt welcome. The food is good, with reasonably large portions.
Packed on the weekends, and very cheap bar. The tapped beers in my opinion could be better though.
